The Bedford Free Library is located on the Village Green in Bedford Village. To obtain a library card you must live, work or go to school in the Town of Bedford. The library can be reached at 234-3570. Hours are Monday 10 AM - 7 PM., Tuesday-Friday 10 AM - 6 PM. and on Saturday from 10 AM - 1 PM The historic building in which the library is housed was once a school built in 1807. It became the library in 1903. There are three libraries within the town, Katonah, Bedford Hills, and Bedford Village. They are all a part of the Westchester Library System that has a total of 38 libraries within the county. Bedford Village Library offers ongoing programs for children, as well as computer classes.
