Application for a Bedford Hills Library Card requires proof of residency. A person living out of Westchester County, working in Bedford Hills or owning property in this town may also apply for a library card with proof of employment or ownership. The Bedford Hills Free Library was founded in 1915 by a group of interested citizens who wanted to bring library service to the hamlet. The library's hours are: Monday- Wednesday 1P.M.- 8 PM., Thursday and Friday,. 10 AM - 5:30 PM , and Saturday 10 AM-1 PM There are no Saturday hours during July and August. The Director reports that their current and constant project is the upkeep of their 145-year-old building in the heart of Bedford Hills. Recent renovations have included a new porch and roof repair. Looking to the future, the library hopes to continue offering the latest technology and media that is of interest to the public. (revised 2005.02.10)
