A Katonah landmark, Caramoor is the former home of the Rosen family who were ardent collectors of art, furniture, and photography. Tours of the house are offered on Wednesday-Friday and Sunday 1 P M - 3 P M and Saturday 1 PM - 4 PM Afternoon tea is served on Thursday and Friday at 3 PM during the Spring, Summer and Fall. Every Wednesday at 11 AM Caramoor presents a recital in the beautifully appointed music room, and it is followed by a tour of the house. This showplace is also the home of the Caramoor International Music Festival, one of the top five outdoor festivals in the nation. There are two outdoor theaters, the romantic Spanish Courtyard and the attractive Venetian Theater. These resonate with music from the finest classical to jazz artists. Some of the renowned musicians who have performed here are Vo-Yo Ma, Alicia De Larrocha and Andrea Marcovicci. One can be a volunteer as well as a member of the Garden Guild or a Friend of Caramoor.
