Created by local church and civic groups in 1992, The Center was established to reach out to the unemployed and underemployed in Northern Westchester. It seeks to improve the dignity, security and well-being of persons in the community, by providing emergency food and clothing and employment counseling. Volunteers offer computer classes and ESL courses (English as a Second Language). In 1998 the center moved to the renovated King House, and now provides supplemental food to close to 400 families a month, and .disperses over 10,000 pounds of used clothing monthly. They are open Tuesday-Friday 10 AM -4 PM and Saturday 10 AM - 1 PM. You must live in northern Westchester to avail yourself of their services.
