Katonah, NY 10536 232-8913 www.kvis.us To participate in the Improvement Society you must be a contributor of $10 or more to the Katonah Village Library . Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of the month in the library at 7:30 PM. This group was formed 122 years ago in an attempt to establish a library in the village and help improve and maintain the quality of life here in the hamlet. The Improvement Society was also instrumental in the establishing of the Katonah Museum of Art. They are members of the Master Plan Committee and continue an interest in beautification. KVIS sponsored the Centennial Ball celebrating Katonah's 100th year in its present location. Recently, they organized the Millennium Ball to raise funds for the new addition to the Children's Room of the Library .Through their annual plant sale in mid-May, KVIS raises funds to support the library I a concert series and a scholarship given each year to a graduating senior at John Jay High School.
