Residents age 60 or over are encouraged to take advantage of services and programs provided through the Town Recreation and Parks Department, for all senior citizens. Meetings are held at the Bedford Hills Community House on Wednesdays from 10 AM - 1 PM, and in Katonah at the Katonah Memorial House from 10 AM - 2 PM. In Bedford Village, meetings are held periodically during the year at the Bedford Presbyterian Church. All meetings include a variety of programs and social activities. Those attending bring their lunch, and coffee and dessert are served. Programs are free, and door-to-door transportation is provided if needed. There is dance/exercise programming held at the Presbyterian Church in Bedford Village each week on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Shopping trips in the local area are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Trips to shopping malls are available twice a month on Fridays. Through the Mt. Kisco Nutrition Program, seniors may participate in either the on-site meal programs offered in Mt. Kisco, or have them brought to their homes through the Home Delivered Meals program (Meals on Wheels).
