The town of Bedford, population 15,000, is roughly
a six-mile square, cocked at a clockwise angle of 30 degrees,
in northeastern Westchester County. A portion of the western
boundry is cut out for Mt. Kisco which is has its own village
government. The town has three hamlets Bedford Hills, Katonah,
and Bedford Village; the town house is located in Bedford Hills

684, the Saw Mill River Parkway, and the Metro-North Railroad.
White Plains airport is 10 miles distan
Traveling south, Interstate 684 continues 13 miles
to intersect Interstate 287 at White Plains, passing through
Armonk on the way. To the north, 684 connects to Interstate
84 which is a main corridor connecting the west central states
with Hartford and Boston.
Traveling south, the Saw Mill becomes the Henry
Hudson Parkway which connects to the West Side of New York City,
45 miles distant. Traveling north, the Saw Mill connects to
Interstate 684 at Katona

Metro-North also stops in Pleasantville, Chappaqua, and White
Plains to the south, and Goldens Bridge, Purdys, and Brewster
to the north. Some express trains do not stop in White Plain
