Chapter 113 TRESPASSING § 113-1. Title; purpose. [HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Bedford 12-13-1960. Section 113-3 amended at time of adoption of Code; see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. 1. Other amendments noted where applicable.] GENERAL REFERENCES Firearms, bows and trapping-See Ch. 57. § 113-1. Title; purpose. This chapter shall be known as the "Trespass Ordinance of the Town of Bedford" for the prevention of trespass to public and private property. § 113-2. Prohibition. A person who intrudes upon any lot or parcel of private land within the bounds of the Town of Bedford, exclusive of that portion lying within the bounds of the Incorporated Village of Mount Kisco, without authority from the owner thereof, or who erects or occupies thereon any structure whatever without such authority, and a person who places, erects or occupies within the bounds of any public property any structure without lawful authority is guilty of an offense. § 113-3. Penalties for offenses. [Amended 12-19-1978; 5-1-1984 by L.L. No. 2-1984] Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.) and/or imprisonment for no more than fifteen (15) days, or both. |
